Good day Wine Lover

Buy this wine it is delicious…

Bryan MacRobert has been assisting Eben Sadie in the Swartland and Priorat for a number of years and the Tobais 2010 Red is his exceptional debut. Only three barrels of this delicious juice were made and we are so confident of this wine, we have bought the last 80 cases…

Its traditional styling and high cinsault component is perhaps more reminiscent of the wines made in the 70s; it is real, honest and holds a vivid fruit purity. Difficult to not drink now, we reckon the exquisite balance and concentration will allow it 10-15 years maturation. All at R75 a bottle.

All those clients whom have purchased it, have come back for more. One more time, buy this wine it is delicious.

Tobias Red, Swartland
2010 R 75
WA 91/100

A co-fermented blend of 33% Syrah, 33% Mourvedre and 33% Cinsault (Yes, the label says incorrectly otherwise!) the 2010 Red Blend has a generous, very pure, fleshy nose where the Cinsault really takes centre stage and opens beautifully in the glass with bright red fruits, pressed flowers and a touch of crushed stone. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannins and great balance. Harmonious and silky smooth towards the stony finish, this is a very promising debut. – Neal Martin of Wine Advocate

Tobias is a small label produced by young Brian MacRoberts who works with Eben Sadie in Swartland. His fruit is sourced from Eben’s vineyard and blended with both his father’s and father’s neighbour’s parcel in Malmesbury.
