Christian Eedes recently reviewed the maiden vintage of Luddite Chenin Blanc. Produced by Niels and Penny Verburg from old vines in the Bot River Valley, this groundbreaking wine is lean, limey and complex with flinty, mineral smokiness. Christian was as impressed as we were and has awarded the Chenin 91 points out of 100.
‘Green and yellow apple, spice and some subtle leesy character. Medium bodied with a saline edge. Really understated (abv 12.5%) with great refreshment value.’ 91/100
