Wine-Searcher has compiled a list of the world’s 50 most expensive wines, based on the average price of standard bottles for all available vintages. Rather unsurprisingly, DRC Romanée-Conti, Petrus, Le Pin and Screaming Eagle all make the top 20, with Henri Jayer Richebourg occupying the top spot. For the full list, along with average bottle prices, visit Wine-searcher.com.

The wine price comparison site also lists South Africa’s most expensive wines. Though the results are interesting, they only take into account the wines and vintages that are actually listed on Wine-searcher.com.
