The results from the annual Drinks International: World’s Most Admired Wine Brands have been released and M. Chapoutier has been ranked the world’s most admired French brand. ‘This award shows that France and its wines have a fine future in store,’ says Michel Chapoutier, a renowned producer based in Tain-l’Hermitage in the Northern Rhône.
The panel, made up of over 200 Masters of Wine, sommeliers and journalists, judge wines across all regions and styles according to five explicit criteria:
- Continuous quality improvement
- Ability to meet demands and tastes of the target consumers
- Reflection of the terroir of the the region of origin
- Packaging and marketing
- Brand’s global appeal
