We invite you to join us in finding the ultimate wine and steak pairing at our Steak-Outnext Wednesday, 1 August at Carne on Kloof.
Combining our powers, Wine Cellar and Carne will be pairing 4 red wines with 3 different and lesser-known cuts of meat in order to discover the ultimate steak wine. Enjoy a 2-course meal with 4 wines, from 4 countries, placed on the table and shared amongst 4 guests. We will taste, eat, drink and discuss from 19h00 until late.
The wine selection has been chosen to perfectly complement the lighter and richer cuts of meat on the menu. All 4 wines have a beautiful intensity and purity of fruit, an elegant tannin structure as well as spice and power in common. Ranging from the lightest to the most intensely structured, these are the wines:
- Terrazas, Malbec Reserva 2016 from Mendoza, Argentina
- Bad Boy, Bordeaux AOC 2015 produced by Jean Luc Thunevin from Bordeaux, France
- Quinta do Crasto, Reserva 2014 from the Douro in Portugal
- Numanthia, Termes 2014 made from Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo), hailing from the Toro region in Spain.
Which wine will get the title of the ‘Ultimate Steak Wine‘? Bring your friends, family and colleagues and come help us decide next Wednesday. Tickets are R550, all inclusive.
