Chris and Andrea Mullineux’s second release of the Olerasay is the first South African wine to be awarded a perfect 100-point score from Neal Martin.

The Olerasay 2° differs from Mullineux’s straw wine in that it is made in a Solera and consists of 12 vintages. ‘Every year we make a vintage straw wine and hold back a portion that we do not bottle, but blend into the Solera,’ explains Chris Mullineux, ‘the Solera is therefore refreshed with the new vintage each year. All barrels of the Solera are a fractional blend containing all vintages from 2008 to 2019.’

With 8.5% alcohol and 331g/l of residual sugar, this 100% old-vine Chenin Blanc ‘will last decades’ says Neal Martin, providing a drinking window from 2020-2080. This extraordinary, cellar-worthy wine is available in limited quantities on our website, see here.
