Meerlust’s 2021 Rubicon is a Stellenbosch legend from a near-perfect vintage. It has been a Cape benchmark since its first release and is the oldest Bordeaux-styled red in South Africa. This vintage is a blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, and spends 18 months in 50% new oak, with the smart oaking adding the finishing touches to a youthful Rubicon promising many years ahead.
