Bordeaux Like Never Before – 3 Top Châteaux Come To SA

Mar 12, 2025 | All, Tastings | 0 comments

For the first time ever, Wine Cellar is hosting three Bordeaux châteaux in South Africa. Our accompanying tasting series includes a deep dive at Wine Cellar, dinner in the Boland, a winemakers-only event, and fine dining in Johannesburg. With so many experiences to choose from, this is your chance to explore Bordeaux like never before.

Domaine de Chevalier produces some of the greatest wines in Pessac-Léognan and Graves. The reds are continually among the finest in the appellation, while the whites rival the best in all of Bordeaux. Château Laroque’s star continues to rise in Saint-Émilion, with the masterful David Suire at the helm. Finally, Château Phélan Ségur represents outstanding value in Saint-Estèphe, with wines of purity, clarity and structure. A stone’s throw from giants Calon Ségur and Montrose, this is a property to watch.
