For us, summer drinking consists of chilled reds with pure fruit and mineral-driven whites that are chalky and filled with florals or delicate stone fruit.
With the warm sun on our skin and a buzz in town, we are feeling the festive vibes and if you’re still working, then coming home to a crunchy, slightly chilled glass of wine is the perfect end to the day, right?
These are some of our favourite wines that we are serving all summer long, and we thought you’d like to grab some for these warmer evenings too:
Roodekrantz 1983 Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2023 – Bright fruit, great texture, light and fresh. Old vine Chenin at a bargain.
Wildeberg The Tea Leaf 2022 – Persistent, pristine and bang for your buck, a people pleaser.
The Winery of Good Hope Full Berry Pinotage 2023 – A people pleaser, spicy, crunchy fruit, soft texture, everything you want in the new wave Pinotage style.
McFarlane Wines Capitoline Wolf Red 2023 – Floral, bright, delicious, with notes of orange rind coming out too.
Paulus Wine Co. Bosberaad Chenin Blanc 2023 – I love this wine, lots of pure white florals and apple with focus and restraint. Great balance.
Migliarina Grenache 2022 – Bright raspberries and notes of kelp, lovely texture too. Has an international feel to it.
