The 2022 immediately offers its trademark dark cherry and cassis, with deep, opulent fruit and fresh acidity that add energy and drive to balance the cloak of well-judged oak. It’s suave and seamless, with finesse from start to finish.
Winemaker Abrie Beeslaar loves discussing the magic of this special single vineyard. If you ever catch him in person, be sure to ask him about it. The site is cooler and low-lying, planted on shallow soils, which slows down the ripening process and creates a wine with fine-grained tannins and concentrated fruit.

Tasting Notes:
‘Deep ruby colour. A classic, perfumed nose packed with cherries, cassis, cedar wood, tea leaves and tomato puree. The palate is an explosion of fruit with lovely dark berry, rose petal, toasted oak and hints of plum. A complex multi-layered, refined wine with a beautiful structure, balanced acidity with fine-grained tannins and a long finish. Bottled elegance.’ – Winemaker
