Exclusive to Brice & Burnett, we’re delighted to bring you a special selection of wines from Château Beauséjour – a Premier Grand Cru Classé B in Saint-Émilion famed for its terroir and panoramic beauty. In the vast ocean of wines that make up Bordeaux, Beauséjour has to be among the finest.
We’ve secured a string of mature vintages that offer a window into this incredible property. Our Introduction to Beauséjour Case features a bottle each of the 2007, 2011 and 2019, and three bottles of their earlier-drinking Croix 2019. Though valued at R10 725, we’re offering more than a 10% discount to encourage you to discover these remarkable wines. There’s no need to wait as time has done its work – simply buy, uncork and enjoy.

Ninth-generation Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse now manages the 7-hectare estate, producing fewer than 25 000 bottles per annum (less than half the volume of, say, Kanonkop Paul Sauer). She’s deeply involved – working the vines, overseeing the harvest and making the wines herself. The estate is perched on the edge of the limestone plateau next to Canon and a portion of the vines roll into the valley below, merging with Angélus.
As Sydonios Empreinte is Joséphine’s favourite glass for her wines, we’re also giving you 15% off Sydonios stemware when you buy an Introduction to Beauséjour Case. These glasses are taking the wine world by storm, with most top producers in Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne preferring Sydonios. Find out more.

Tasting Notes:
Introduction to Beauséjour Case
2007 is textured and tertiary with dried tobacco, forest floor and a touch of eucalyptus – delicious for winter foods. 2011 is an absolute beauty, still offering primary red fruit but transitioning to dried cherry and a touch of bramble. The palate is where the magic is here – it’s so pure with an alluring richness while maintaining its limestone freshness. 2019 is a broader, more generous wine that’s already drinking well but has another 15+ years ahead. The Croix de Beausejour 2019 is pure Saint-Émilion joy with sweet cherry, a touch of blackberry and a sapid, mouthwatering palate – swirl, smell, sip, smile, and repeat. As Neal Martin mentioned in reference to a recent vintage, ‘Not only will it be flippin’ delicious, but you get the sense that Joséphine is only just getting started.’ – Johan Malan, July 2026
